Ecotourism
The definition of ecotourism, according to TIES. ("About us") is "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well- being of local people." It can be an effective way of providing positive experiences for both visitors and hosts, financial benefits for local people and conservation and it can also build an environmental and cultural awareness and education [19].
Coral reefs attract a great number of ecotourism activities worldwide, such as;
Ecotourism does involve visiting biologically diverse locations that are potentially fragile and undisturbed by humans, and this can also have a negative impact on the environment; and some of the possible threats associated with ecotourism are explored;
